Have you started your Blog yet?

At work Web 2.0 and Web 3.0 are heavily discussed topics, so the other day at work I received this email from a working group member - pretty interesting...

To say that Blogs are catching on is an understatement-especially when you consider the following stats for just one blogging platform: WordPress.com for one month: June 2009

*388,580 blogs were created.
*5,845,417 posts were published.
*411,540 new users joined.
*5,800,941 file uploads.
*3,633 gigabytes of new files.
*810 terabytes of content transferred from our datacenters.
*6,841,633 logins.
*1,245,935,191 pageviews on WordPress.com, and another 1,245,882,985 on self-hosted blogs (2,491,818,176 total across all WordPress blogs that WordPress tracks).
*2,153,176 active blogs where "active" means they got a human visitor.
*1,447,021,840 words.

These are just stats from 1 blog provider - there are many out there. Can you imagine the metrics if it were to include all of them?? Pretty impressive indeed!

So, have you started your Blog yet??? I strongly recommend to all you non-Bloggers out there to get on the stick! Days, Weeks and Months pass quickly before our eyes and with everyone's busy schedules we don't get to keep in contact like we want to or should. Blogging is an easy fix for this. Granted we don't want it to be our only form of contact with our family and friends but it helps when time keeps passing us by faster and faster and our schedules get fuller and fuller.
