1) Thanksgiving - We celebrated our 1st Thanksgiving in our house! Jackie & Bob spent the day with us. Jackie & I cooked off and on - a very relaxed pace. Bob and Corey watched football and napped through out the day.
Cooper was still not feeling well and slept most of the day - he was maybe up for four hours total.
Dinner was excellent - ham, turkey breast, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, turnips, broccoli casserole, asparagus, stuffing and rolls. Lots of starches - just how we like it.
We ended the night with a game of spades - boys versus girls. We did not go to bed until 11:30 or 12:00...way too late since Jackie & I were getting up at 3:00 AM for Black Friday.
2) Black Friday - Jackie & I were out the door by 3:45 and in Kohls parking lot by 3:58. We hit Kohls, Target, Starbucks, ToysRus, and Walmart by 8:30. We were home unloading the car by 9:00 AM. We got great deals and I am 85% done with my Christmas shopping!
3) ER - On Thursday night we noticed that Cooper had pink eye in both eyes and was still not feeling well. He had had a fever off and on since the previous Saturday. I called the pediatrician Friday morning at 9:00 AM to get a sick appointment. Unfortunately, they were not open due to the Holiday and recommended that we take him to the ER to get some tests run. They did not like the fact that he had been having a fever off and on for such a long period of time. So we headed to the ER - waited about 2.5 hours in the waiting room before being seen. Saw the doctor - confirmed the pink eye in both eyes, did not like his wheezing so prescribed a steroid to clear up the inflammation in his lungs, and thought he was starting to get ear infections in both ears which would explain the off and on fevers so he gave us an antibiotic. After two doses of medicine Cooper is back to his old self - He is laughing and chattering constantly!
4) Packing - We head to Cancun on Monday! Yeah! Making sure I have everything for Cooper has been a little nerve racking - it's amazing how someone so little needs so many things!
5) Dad/Gramp's Birthday - Yesterday was Dad/Gramp's 54th Birthday! Happy Birthday! We love you very much! We hope you had a great day! Sorry we could not be there to celebrate with you!
