Yesterday was my day to go into the office, so I had limited time with the boys or Corey.  I left early in the morning, so Tucker had just gotten up and Cooper was still sleeping.  I got home around 8 pm and Tucker was in bed and Cooper was getting ready for bed.  Thankfully, I only have to go in once a week.  I have no idea how I did this everyday when Cooper was younger.

Cooper is home sick today with me.  He has been fighting a stomach bug all weekend.  He played all morning in his playroom while I worked downstairs in the office.  I couldn't resist sneaking upstairs to spy on him when I heard him say, "Catch a bubble.  You guys are out of control today."

He was pretending to be the teacher and have circle time with his Sesame Street friends.  After clicking this picture, I asked him what he was doing. He told me, "I am reading a book for circle time, but my friends are not paying attention."  HaHa!  He is really growing into his imagination!

Later I caught a picture of him reading his Nina book.

Marshall, Heather's son, was baptized surrounded by family and close friends this past Sunday.   We are so glad we got to be apart of his special day!

23 of 365 - 23 March, 2011

Tucker has decided he no longer likes formula and/or bottles.  He only wants baby food and cereal.  If you get a bottle near him, no matter if it contains juice, formula, or water, he screams.  We are lucky to get him to drink 10-15 ounces a day.  Ugh!   This is stressing his Momma out!

At his well checkup last week I talked to the pediatrican about his recent disinterest in liquids.  She stated that at his age he should be drinking close to 30 ounces a day, but since he is already eating 3 meals a day, that it is normal for babies to start transitioning off of liquids and moving more to solids.  However, this usually occurs at 9 or 10 months. She recommended that we start giving him oral vitamins and make sure he is producing 6 pee diapers a day.  So the diaper counting has begun!  Not like I have anything else to do!  Last night, we tried a sippy cup with formula but he was not interested! 

My mom says at around Tucker's age I did the same thing but only would drink sweet tea from my bottle.  Sorry Tucker - no sweet tea for you!

Corey got a new set of phones for the house.  This is my phone in the office!  I know you are thinking big deal, but it is a huge deal to me.  Since I started working from home I have killed two sets of phones already.  I spend the majority of my day on conference calls or calls with the client.   So, having a corded phone with a loud and clear speaker phone is HEAVEN!  It's the little things that make my day!

 Tucker decided he would like to start feeding himself.  He is tired of Momma getting food all over his face.

 Corey and I were having our own conversation and I guess not paying enough attention to Cooper.  So, Cooper decided it would be fun and funny to try out Tucker's jumper. 

He thought it hysterical and kept saying, "Look at me. Look at me.  Don't you want to laugh?"  This is his new thing - he tries to make us laugh all the time!  The other night he pretended to run into our parked car and fall down.  When Corey nor I laughed - he wanted to know why we didn't think it was funny.  I think we are in trouble!

 He could not get out by himself and needed a little assistance from Momma.  He is too funny!

This past weekend we headed to West Virginia to celebrate Maw Maw's 73rd birthday. Happy Birthday Maw Maw!!!!

MawMaw meeting Tristyn for the very first time - what a special birthday present for her.  Tristyn is our family's miracle baby.  He was born 24 weeks premature in August while our family was at Busch Gardens. We are so glad he is healthy and home!  As you can see from the picture, he is absolutely adorable!!!

 MawMaw with the lil boys - Isaiah, Tucker, Tristyn, Marshall and Cooper.  Don't worry MawMaw wasn't dropping T, Seth and Aunt Lura were holding him from the bottom.  Talk about hard work trying to get them all to look at the camera at the same time - this was the best one we got.  I think it is cute!

---20 March, 2011 --- (20 of 365)  Sunday was a beautiful day so we spent it outside on the farm with family.

 Cooper holding a couple baby turkeys.  The babies are only 5 days old. I was surprised how gentle Cooper was with them.

 While exploring on the four wheeler, Cooper and Gramps stumbled upon beaver territory.

We never found the dam or live beavers - but it was very interesting to see how a beaver can chew down such huge trees.

Gramps, Cooper and I ended our afternoon with a little rock throwing.  Cooper loves my Grandparent's farm and cries when it is time to go home. I am so glad he shares my love for it - it is one of my favorite places on earth!

Tucker was diagnosed with a double ear infection on Monday, so he got to stay home with Momma.    We had a great day together - makes me wish I got to stay home with him full time.  This working stuff is for the birds!  I am trying very hard to get back into the swing of things at work.  Its hard to remain focused when meetings and emails seem so insignificant when it compares to my baby's smiles.  But unfortunately my baby's smiles do not pay the bills - if they did I would be rich!

This picture captures my typical greeting from Cooper every evening when he gets home.  He is so happy to see me and can't wait to tell me how much he loves and misses me.  He is definitely a Momma's boy or as he calls me Ma!

Yesterday was a jammed packed day - Cooper ENT appointment, Tucker 6 month check-up, Grammy's birthday and St. Patrick's Day.

Cooper went to see the ENT to have his tubes removed.  The tubes popped out a couple of days earlier due to the sinus infection and unfortunately lodged into his ear canal. Cooper was very brave about getting his tubes out and did not shed one tear. The doctor also noticed he had a double ear infection - which could explain the fevers, whining, restless nights and balance issues.  The doctor is recommending that Cooper get a second set of tubes and have his adenoids removed.    We have a follow-up appointment in a month to discuss in more detail.  I followed up with the pediatrican regarding the ENT's recommendation. She reviewed Cooper's file and counted that he has had 7 ear infections with the tubes.  Ugh! Looks like another surgery is in his future!

Tucker turned 6 months old! I can't believe my baby is getting so big - where does the time go?  Tucker had his wellness appointment and an ear check to see how his ear infection from Monday was healing.  The pediatirican was very pleased with his developmental skills and said he was ahead!  She also said the ears looked great - yeah!  Here are his 6 months stats -
Weight - 20 lbs 1 oz (90th percentile)
Height - 27 3/4 inches (90th percentile)
Head Circumference - 18 1/4 inches (130th percentile)
The pediatrician wants to watch his head growth over the next few months to ensure it levels off.  If it does not, then we will need to get a CT scan to ensure everything is normal.  However, the doctor said she was not too worried since a) he is very proportional and a large baby and b) he is ahead of where he should be developmentally.  Therefore she believes it is just genetic and he is going to have a huge noggin'.  Tucker has my father's big head (shape and size exactly) so I am pretty sure it is genetic!  This weekend I will try to get a picture of Gramps holding Tucker so you can see what I mean. Love ya Gramps!

St. Patty's Day is also Grammy's birthday.  I love this picture of Grammy, Cooper, Payton and Maddie in their crowns.  Happy Birthday Grammy!  We had a blast celebrating with you!!!!

Cooper showing off his crocodile shirt this morning.  Crocodiles are his favorite animal right now thanks to Peter Pan. He even loves giving crocodile hugs!  If you are not sure what that is just ask him the next time you see him and he will gladly give you one!

Cooper always has one sock on and one sock off.  He starts with two on, but within five minutes he ends up this way and it's always with the same feet.  We are not sure why?  Just one of his strange little habits!

 Cooper and Tucker played together for the larger part of Saturday.  It's adorable to see them interacting with each other.  I can only imagine what it will be like in a couple of years - I can't wait!

Tucker during our normal morning photo shoot.  Momma did not get one smile, but I love this face.  Turns out Tucker is coming down with crude also....poor sweet baby!

Uncle Aaron brought Cooper tons of trinkets from Mardi Gras.  Of course one of his favorites would be a fake stogy.  Haha!  He promised not to inhale!

Uncle Aaron moved into his new apartment this weekend.  The boys are hooking up Aaron's new tv - even Cooper is helping!  Cooper loved Uncle Aaron's apartment! Cooper couldn't stop naming off the things he and Uncle Aaron would do if only Momma would ever let them have a boys night.  Just to name a few - jump on the bed, play Farkle, drink beer, eat as many cheese sticks as they wanted - the list goes on.   

Also, on Sunday I got to slip away for a couple of hours and attend an old friend's, Arica, baby shower.  She looked great and got tons of nice gifts.  It was great catching up with Arica and Sara - I really miss our chats and girls nights!

Tucker is almost the same size as Cooper and he is only 5 1/2 months.  As you can see from Cooper's coloring he is a little under the weather.

Cooper stayed home sick - he has a sinus infection and issues with his tubes.  He is playing with his Disney CARS racetrack that Uncle Mike and Aunt Lura got him for Christmas.  It permanently stays on the coffee table.
