Week 6 of 52

The pickings were slim this week....

 

Cooper being extra goofy at breakfast time with his raspberries. He can put down an entire container of raspberries in one sitting if I would let him. 

Tucker following in his big brother's foot steps.  He loves books!  His new trick is clearing the entire book case in less than 6 seconds flat.  Yep, Corey and I have a blast picking up 200+ books 2-3 times a night.

Week 5 of 52

Friday was wear your favorite jersey to school day.  No matter how much convincing and negotiating Corey tried to do Cooper was dead set on wearing his "favorite" jersey - Redskins not UVA.  Here is a picture of Cooper showing me his new "Cool Trick Cool Trick" jumping jacks. 

 

Here is my favorite picture of Tucker Shea this week.  His big smile is due to the Bubble Guppies theme song.  He loves it! Move over Yo Gabba Gabba...

I am going to try something new with this 52 challenge - as often as I can I am going to capture a photo of the two boys.  Corey and I love to watch their relationship blossom.  They are already best friends and in a blink of an eye #1 enemies.  This picture captures "team work"!

Week 4 of 52

I have two favorite shots of Tucker Shea this week. Both were taken from his favorite room in the entire house - the play room.

 

 

Cooper has been in a very silly mood this week.  We never know what he is going to say or do.  So, I thought this picture captured him perfectly.

Week 3 of 52

The only gift Cooper asked for from Grammy and Poppy for Christmas was his daddy's transformers from when he was a little boy.  Grammy came through after digging in the attic for a couple of hours.  Cooper loves them!  And, Corey loves showing him how they transform and how he played with them when he was little.

Tucker learned how to climb up on our kitchen chairs and then on top of the table.  He is very proud of himself!  This was about the only time we saw him smile the entire week.  He has been an absolute bear with the stomach virus and is cutting an eye tooth and a one year molar.

Week 2 of 52

Cooper wanted to get dressed up for his girlfriend at school.  He's only three and already trying to impress the ladies - gets that from his Uncle Aaron.  Corey picked him up from school that evening and thought it was picture day - haha!

365 Blog....Not Again!!!!

So, I quit my 365 blog last year!  Don't worry I am not going to make the same mistake again.  This year I have decided to do something a little more realistic and achievable.....drum roll please....a 52 blog!  I will post one picture of Cooper and one picture of Tucker each week, hence the name 52 blog.  I try to take pictures of the boys every day, but some days life happens and no pictures are taken. Having a week to take a picture and post gives me a little more breathing room which makes this activity fun again instead of a chore.

I did learn a huge lesson from my 365 blog attempt - I do not like to fail.  Therefore, if I notice that I am on a slippery downward slop with no chance on regaining control then I would just rather quit than fail.  Not one of my best characteristics or a lesson I would like to teach my children - but hey I am human and at least I am being honest with myself and identifying a development area.

So here's to setting realistic expectations and achievable goals in 2012 and the 52 Blog!
