ROCKS

Cooper loves to throw rocks - thanks to Nana, Gramps and Poppy - this is one of his favorite past times.

One day this week when I went to pick up Cooper the teacher told me we had a problem. She said, Cooper spends most of recess digging, looking for and throwing rocks. She said he doesn't throw them at the other little kids just sometimes they get into the vicinity of where he is throwing and with his arm she doesn't want anyone getting hit. Also, when recess is over it is a big ordeal to get the rocks away from him. I explained to her he just loves rocks and can't help it!

So, tonight after the Halloween parade Uncle Aaron, Daddy and I went to play on the playground with Cooper - what do you know he went straight for the fence to find ROCKS!

Cooper's daycare had a costume parade and party for Halloween this afternoon. It was too cute!!!

Wedding Crashers

This past weekend Corey and I went to Ryan (Corey's coworker) and Katie's wedding. We felt like wedding crashers since the only people we knew were the bride and groom. We had a really long discussion on how easy it would be to crash weddings!

We had a great time - the food was terrific, we danced a little, Corey and I got to hang out like we were on a date, and I got to practice my photography.

Cabin Fever

Due to swine flu we have been stuck in the house since last Friday - Cooper and I have cabin fever. He is no longer contagious and is ready to go back to school. He walked around all morning with his back pack on (courtesy of Grammy) shouting school, but it sounds more like skol, and bye bye. We are now just waiting on the pediatrician to fax over a release form to our daycare. We are glad to have our healthy little boy back!!! I will have to admit these past couple of days have been some of the best days Corey and I have had with Cooper. I know you guys think we are crazy since he had swine flu but it really wasn't that bad. Cooper is a fun and active little boy that is full of personality and life. He loves to color; read books; play ball (football/basketball/golf), chase and tag; climb everything; sing songs; talks no stop; and gives the best kisses and hugs. The swine flu allowed Corey and I to stay home with Cooper and spend some much needed quality time together.

Thanks for every one's kind words, thoughts and prayers while Cooper was sick - we really appreciate it!!!

Cooper's new thing - when I say, "Momma loves her little boy." or "Cooper is Momma's little boy". He says, "No. Baby". I guess he still wants to be Momma's baby - I can handle that and will remind him of this when he gets older!!!

Seriously speaking, I think we are very lucky and caught Cooper at the very early stages of this nasty stuff. As of 7 AM this morning he has had no fever!!!! He has been running around the house playing and terrorizing the cats like any other day. If this is all Cooper is sick with H1 N1 then I will be the first to say Tamiflu is a miracle drug!!! I really hope I am not jinxing us!!!

UVA Homecoming

Yesterday, was the UVA Homecoming Football Game versus Indiana. Jackie and Bob could not make the game because they were having dinner with Chris & Andrew (the guy who chopped off Bob's finger when they were little). So, we had extra tickets and asked Uncle Chris, Campbell and Jake to join us for the game.

It was a great day - great company; UVA killed Indiana 47-7; and delicious food!!! Cooper loved hanging out with Campbell (aka - Mammal) - he had to sit on her lap during the game and on the walk back he held her hand the entire way. I think if Isaiah catches wind of this he really is not going to like Cooper - Haha!

I think Campbell enjoyed her first UVA football game - can you believe she even wore a UVA sweatshirt (courtesy of Corey). Who knows we might make her a UVA fan after all!!!

U2 - 360 Degrees Tour

Last night Corey and I went to the Muse and U2 - 360 Degrees concert at Scott Stadium in Charlottesville. It was awesome! U2 puts on a heck of a show!!! Corey and I both rank this as the best and largest concert we have ever been to. U2 played their old and new stuff - it was great. Before the concert Corey was the only U2 fan in this family. However, I will say it's hard to walk away from their concert and not be a fan. I never realized how many U2 songs I knew. So, I am a U2 fan now too. I joked with Corey that I felt a little out of place at the concert - our section was full of fans our parents age getting wild, frisky and crazy. I kept giggling throughout the concert wondering if my parents would act like this at a concert. Haha - doubt it. Also, Corey and I joked that we think (no we know) this is the most the stadium has ever seen a crowd standing and cheering.
