Way to End the Year

We got a call from day care today stating Cooper had an accident and that we need to pick him up. This is what I was greeted by - Cooper has the nastiest goose egg and bruise on his forehead. He looks like Frankenstein. I called the doctor and they said we needed to monitor him for the next 24 hours. Argh!!! So this is how we are ending the year another head injury for Cooper!

Air & Space Museum

On Sunday after Nana, Gramps, MawMaw and Brasco headed home we met Heather & Matt at the Dulles Air & Space Museum for the afternoon. It's a very cool place right in our backyard. I think Cooper was a little overwhelmed at first but he really liked the Space exhibits!

Round 3 - Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve Nana, Gramps, MawMaw, Brasco and Uncle Aaron came to our house for the long holiday weekend! It was wonderful getting to spend so much time with them. Cooper loved having his family at his house - especially Brasco!

For Christmas Eve dinner we had ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans, baked apples and rolls. After dinner we let Cooper get an early taste of Christmas before Santa came. We let him open his stockings and three gifts - an Elmo steering wheel, Elmo and Grover dolls.

Our Christmas Tree - the gate kept Cooper out of the tree but no such luck for the cats.

Christmas Round 2 - Package from Allie

Cooper received a package in the mail with early Christmas presents from Allie. Inside the presents were Elmo pjs and the Night Before Christmas Book that has Allie's voice recorded reading it. Cooper got very excited when he heard Allie's voice and points to the little girl sleeping on the front page and says "Owlwee".

Here are some pictures of him opening the gifts:

Elmo - 1-2-3 Imagination

Corey and I took Cooper as an early Christmas present to the Elmo 1-2-3 Imagination show on Friday at the Patriot Center. He loved it and was in awe the entire show only uttering Elmo three times. His mouth was wide open for 95% of the show - he could have caught flies. We had a fantastic time and would recommend the show to anyone - it's definitely worth the money!

Surprise Christmas Packages

We received a huge box in the mail on Tuesday from Corey's grandmother, Babci, requesting that we open as soon as we got it. So, I opened it to find two beautifully wrapped Christmas packages with our names on them. I went ahead and placed them in front of the tree. When Corey got home I told him "Stiller the Elf" (Elmo's Christmas Count Down reference - yes our lives revolve around Elmo) had dropped off two early Christmas presents for him and Cooper. Corey thought "Stiller the Elf" was me and that I was being funny. Inside the packages were a moving Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus. I told Corey "Stiller the Elf" was Babci and handed him her card. He was in shock and very grateful that Babci would send her Santa Claus and Mrs. Santa Claus to be added to our Christmas decoration collection. Cooper absolutely loves them and can't stop talking about Ho! Ho! Ho! Christmas is going to be so much fun and so memorable this year!!!

Here are some pictures of Cooper and Corey opening the gifts. I am not sure which one had more fun or which one loves Christmas presents more! Cooper loved ripping the paper and then wadding it into a ball and throwing it at me.

Thanks Babci!!!
